Description of the Traditional Excursions:

Geysers del Tatio:
Geysers del Tatio are the bigger geothermal field in the world. Located in the Andes Range at 4321 m.s.n.m., between 6:30 am and 9:00 am the geysers are more active when the atmospheric pressure generates big steam columns that comes out from the ground. When we return, we will visit the village of Machuca. The excursion starts at 5:00am, we return to San Pedro at noon.

Geysers del Tatio y Villages of Atacama:
Getting out of the geothermal field of Tatio, you continue to Caspana, a village located at 3260 m.s.n.m. Then we go to Chiu Chiu, village located at 2525 m.s.n.m.  Finally we arrive to Lasana, valley caracterized by their petroglyphs and their Pukará. The excursion starts at 05:00 am., to finish in Calama or return to San Pedro.

Geysers del Tatio and Thermal Baths of Puritama:
After the visit to Geysers del Tatio,  we continue to Puritama thermal bath, located at 3500 m.s.n.m.  Puritama thermal bath are thermal water that flows at 25º C / 30º C. The excursion starts at 05:00 am., and we return to San Pedro at 2:00 pm.

Salar de Atacama y Toconao:
Toconao is an oasis of sweet water located 30kms. far form San Pedro and is characterized for the architecture of liparita stone. Salar de Atacama is located at 2305 m.s.n.m. and has a surface of 320000 hectares. East of the salar stands out the Chaxa lagoon, were we can find flamingos. The excursion starts at 3:00 pm., and we return to San Pedro at 7:00 pm.

Salar de Atacama y Lagunas Altiplanicas:
After visiting the Salar, we continue to thelagoons of Miscanti and Miñiques located at 4100 m.s.n.m.  This area is part of the National Reserve of Flamingos. In the trip back to San Pedro, yo go though Socaire,  preoluumbian village. The start of the excursion is at 08:00 am. getting back to San Pedro at 4:00pm.

Valle de la Luna:
Located 19 kms. far from San Pedro. This Sanctuary of Nature is formed by a hollow surrounded by little hills with amazing sharp crests. The first stop will be in the pointview in La Sal, where you can see Sal Range and the Atacama Salar. After that, we visit the Death Valley, and then we go visiting Luns Valley, in there we will wait for the sunset. The tour starts at 4:00pm. getting back to San Pedro after the sunset.

Archaeological Tour:
We start visiting a small village called Tulor, is the more ancient housing vestige of the Salar de Atacama located at 10 kms. far from San Pedro. After thar we continue to Pukará (stronghold) of Quitor, this construction is from the XII century, ending  in en el Tambo of Catarpe (Incaic construction from the XlV century). the tour starts at 09:00am, and we return to San Pedro at 1:00pm.
